Sleep.

Just a quick note before I decide to go to sleep:

Life is amazing. While it may not be going exactly like I would want it to, it is still amazing. I am glad to have such great friends, amazing derby sisters and an awesome family.

The.End.

Burning.

Saul Williams> African Student Movement.

I have decided to do some major cleaning in the house. Mostly my room. P is always making fun of it by saying its real messy and dirty. One of the first things I did was go thru my organized files of important papers. I went thru things that were a few years old (like my old cell phone contract, etc) and burned them in the fireplace. I went thru a stack of old papers that I had from working at the Dr's office and felt so happy to be burning them up. I kept some important things, like papers I had where he had spied on my via my blog and social networking sites. I have a feeling like those papers can come in handy some day. Hopefully I wont need to be saving them for long. My life is so much better with out those toxic people in it. I can honestly say that I have not been angry since December 1st, 2009. I hope this feeling of not hating the people I work with/ the job I have will continue.

My toe has been hurting since I went skating on Wednesday with my derby girls. Thursdays practice was not fun for the toe. Lets hope that Saturday will be better.

Week 1 of being an "official" university student...

And week 1 is almost officially over for me. It seems like it was only yesterday that I was applying to Sac State... Then getting the letter that I have been accepted... Then the first day of school. I am glad that this first week is over. It makes the being scared, nervous, & the worrying all seem like they were worth it in the grand scheme of things. I am proud that the hard work that I have put myself (and Paul) thru has been worth it.

The first week has been good. I go to school from Monday thru Thursday from about noon till 5pm-ish.

My Monday/ Wednesday classes are my Art History classes. From 130pm to 245pm its Art of India & Southeast Asia (Provides a broad overview of the architectural remains and visual arts of India and Southeast Asia from prehistory to the present.  Consideration will be given to the art styles, iconography, history, geography, ethnic populations, languages, and religions (i.e., Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, and Islam) of each region)... From 3pm to 415pm its Modern Architecture (A survey of modern architecture which covers the architectural theories and principles underlying certain significant structures.  Special consideration is given to an analysis of the works of 20th century pioneers and their followers, such as Wright, Gropius, Le Corbusier, Van der Rohe, Aalto, and Johnson, among others, and to certain movements, such as the International Style, Brutalism, and Formalism).

My Tuesday/ Thursday classes are my History classes. From 12pm to 115pm it is Intro to Historic Skills (Introduction to the skills of secondary and  primary source research, critical analysis of documentary sources,  historical reasoning and the preparation of written reports. Attention  to research procedures, record-keeping, citation, and bibliography). From 3pm to 415pm its Popular Culture (Focuses on entertainment and everyday life in America from the beginnings to the present. Enhances the students' understanding of how popular culture reflects and shapes the larger issues and institutions of American life).

I have been riding the bus the first week. It helps that the bus that goes to Sac State also comes a block from my house. Finding parking here has been a nightmare. Plus, I like the fact that I can read a book while I sit in a air conditioned bus.

More later. My Pop Culture class starts in 20 minutes.

Her name was Lola... She was a showgirl///

So, I am sitting on the couch watching the Westminster Kennel Club with Poppy sitting next to me sleeping. My goodness, I love watching these damn dog shows. Maybe its due to the fact that I don't have one yet and I feel this is my way of doing some window shopping. I always get excited when I see the Beagles (or any hound that looks like them, like the Harrier, English Fox Hound, American Fox Hound) and I hope that one day I can make one my little baby...

Oooooo , the Beagle was picked as the top 8 of the hound. Her name is Lola! How freaking cute. Awe, the Whippet won the hound group. Now both the cats are hanging out with me watching the dog show... I am a lucky girl! Maybe I should start doing some cleaning around the house, lol.

Suck it, old job!!!

I am jobless (aka: I was fired!) but I couldn't ask for anything more in the world. I am glad to not be working in a place where I was truly unhappy.

Thank you world! This is the best thing to happen to me!

The Angels beat the Red Sox and are advancing to the ALCS. They play either the Twins or the Yankees. I am soooo happy!
