Seriously...
OMG...
Ugh, how I hate using that phrase but I feel like I gotz too (it's the only thing that can describe how I feel)! I feel like I have been on crack all day... Jittery [check]... Heightened senses [check]... Nauseated [check]... Something happened to me today and it hit me like a ton of bricks.

We sit & grow our roots into the floor... But what are we waiting for?///
A lunch-time quicky:
- I didn't get the job at Pension Planners that I interviewed for last Monday. Bummer, huh? I called the lady back today to ask her what is going on & she said that "the position has been filled"... It's all my fault for waiting & for being to scared to take any time off... All I can do now is learn from my mistakes.
- Stupid McDonalds was out of soda today... I had to drink a water. Ugh. I can't stand the taste of french fries and bottled water... *yuck* But like I told the cashier, "this is a sign that I should be drinking more water."
- Got paid today $750 but that hardly covers the emotional bull shit I am constantly put thru on a daily basis. I am beginning to think that this place is where I am doomed to spend the rest of my stupid work career... I think I would rather die then go thru that. I have to keep my chin up & do all that I can to leave. It's my new mission in life.
- I am full of anger today. I am angry at the job I could have had, the stupid patients, me for being scared of everything... *sigh* I am an angry bear. No doubt about that.

Let's make love & listen Death From Above///
Ahhhh, another day is finally done (no sarcasm here!). I can't wait till the weekend is here all over again. Trust me, it is for my own good actually.
The recap:
- Seeing photos like this Beagle one makes me feel all happy. Maybe I am taking the thought if getting a dog too far but it gives me something to look forward to in my simple life . I have to wait till Paul & I get a house before anything happens. And like I have always said "A girl can dream, can't she?"
- 'The Office' is on right now on TBS. I can't wait till sometime in April when the show comes back on TV. My life of normalicy will be returning back shortly... Well, once 'Heroes' also comes back. & '30 Rock' too. [Edit] The guy who plays "West" on 'Heroes' was on 'The Office'. I got excited. Paul seems to know that I have a slight crush on him from his other work like the indy movie "Rocket Science." I can't help it.... Dark haired boys make my heart go 'boom.'
- I sold my first item on half.com which made me feel good. Now if only I could sell everything that I don't want online... I would be a nicer person. I only made $5 off it, but if I sold the other 15 books on there... cha-ching! The list is here, btw.
- It is raining outside... still. It's kinda strange, it has been beautiful outside for the last week or so & then today it rained & looked gloomy & shitty! At least my plants on the balcony are getting some much needed water.
- We made home made pizza for dinner tonight. We bought some pizza dough, sauce , cheese and peperoni from Trader Joe's the other night and also I bought a pizza stone from Bed Bath & Beyond. It turned out pretty good... I like more sauce, Paul likes more cheese tho. All in all, it was a hit! I think we are gonna need to add this to the rotation. I don't know if we should call the pizza 'Papa Beez' Pizza' or 'Poppy Pizza.'
- I haven't heard back from those other jobs... I must keep the faith tho.

& I can go on and on and on///
[Gnarks Barkley: 'Who Cares?']
Another day of random things:
- When ever I hear the song "Poison" by Bel Biv Devo, I always think of the episode from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia when "The Gang Dances Their Asses Off"... Every time that song comes on, I think of Mac trying to 'serve' Dennis.
- Since I am on the subject, when I hear the song "Analyze" by Thom Yorke, I think of the movie "The Prestige" with Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman. It's a catchy song & it is probably the most beautiful song I have heard in a long time.
- Bought a pizza stone from the wonderful Bed Bath & Beyond. Also bought pizza dough and pizza sauce from good ole' Trader Joe's while on our weekly grocery trip... Paul bought a rolling pin form Gottschalks. When we got home from our shopping trip, Paul opened up my pizza stone from the box which fell on the floor and broke. I had to drive back to the store and get a new one... I opened the box the second time :)
- Dreading going to class tomorrow... I don't want to know what my grade on my last quiz was. I don't know if I am gonna even get a passing grade in the class. But I am giving it my all right now, right?

Darkly Dreaming Dexter...
I wish the weekend were not so short as they have started to become lately. Since nothing eventful has happened, I figured I would just make some bullet points...
- Went to school on Saturday & worked on some photos in PhotoShop. I got bored & tired & left a little early. I just wish I had some time in the day to take more photos tho. Thinking of what photos to include in my final portfolio.
- Went to Capitol Park and tried to take pictures. Experimenting with exposures & the f-stops. Took a bunch of neat little photos of the plants (cacti mostly) & some monuments there. I wish there were roses in bloom. I would have loved to take a picture of them to add to my portfolio.
- Had a fight with Paul but will not go into details about that.
- Finished working on the baby gift for Lance & Jessica's baby girl. Now if only I knew when the Baby Shower was gonna be. I asked but, he didn't have any answers for me. Boo.
- Went to The Farmers Market in Sacramento this morning. Had so much fun looking at all the different produce & meat. We bought tiger shrimp, brocoli, spinich, apples, potatos, mushrooms, & I also got some flowers (like I need any more plants for the patio!) all for under $10.
- Got a new wireless keyboard & mouse combo which I have wanted for the longest time. Stupid Staples didn't have the set that was advertised for $14 (this is the second time we have gone there for something that was on sale which they did not have, the first was for a flat screen monitor). We went to Circut City to see if maybe they would have it. It turns out that they DID have what we wanted & they matched Staples price, so I got a $84 set for $14!!!! We are the best shoppers in the world. :)
- Thinking of making a book for Paul for either his birthday or our 2 year anniversary (which is in July). I am tossing around the idea of a Cookbook with all of the recipies that we have discoverd & now love and are in our roation... Or a book using all of his pictures from when he went to Italy durring Christmas of 2005.
- We watched Dexter on CBS for the heck of it... Waiting to see all the good things that the stupid sensors would get rid of... We were totally disappointed about how lame the language is now. We think that the language and the excessive use of blood is what makes the show what it is. Thank goodness that Paul downloaded the first 2 seasons.
- I spent $50 on some artwork, all on a whim. It is this pretty sugar skull print with a bright lime green background. I just wish I had my own home to put all the artwork I could. ::dare to dream::

Clowns to the left of me... Jokers to the right///
[Eagles of Death Metal:: 'Stuck in the Metal']
I have decided that I need to sell some of the books I have had in my room... I feel like I have no need for these silly things anymore & I am not the way I once was. I just wish I could get something out of these damn things & make a little extra cash... Go fig, compulsive shopper gets what she deserves. Lame.
buy my monkeys... SUCKERS!

heartheart
Valentines randomness:
A little gift from the boss... I actually liked it, it's a nice small ivy in a somewhat kinda creepy cherub playing a harp porcelin container that my cats finally won't be able to tip over (he also got me a little card with a teddy bear on it telling me to have a berry good valentines) but he (like a douche bag jerk) left the price tag on the bottom which makes me feel bad.
My little dog that Paul got me for Valentines Day. He will be my temporary dog till we can bring a real one home... He will be named Steagle Colbeagle . He is the cutest thing ever. He is sitting my my computer... & he is soft too! Since I can't have a real one, this is the next closest thing.

You are all I need...
Nothing says "I love you"
then a stupid heart-shaped steak...
God-Bless you, Safeway Market!
Ah, tomorrow is Valentines Day. Oh Joy. In the past, I used to hate this day unless I happened to be with someone (Yeah, I know that DOES sound shallow, but it is the truth). Paul & I are gonna try to keep the day pretty low key... or as close to as possible.
We are gonna spend the night in mostly because we are: 1) on a budget (It's not like I am living off pennies a day, but I can think of much more to spend $50 on instead of an over priced meal that I can make at home for a fraction of the cost), 2) not keen on the idea of spending the night (a weekday, mind you... Hello, Thursday) at some silly resturant with people who are only there cause they think they need to be there, again, I would rather be at my own home with my loved ones... & the cats), 3) not that big on celebrating Valentines Day anyways (well, Paul isn't but I like to do little things... try to not go over board) and 4) we both have class that night.... Yep, that's right. I have a stupid test that I know I am gonna fail.
Anyways, we are gonna have a nice steak dinner (which Paul said that he would make for me since I am terrible at it) with home made mashed potatoes, steamed green beans and garlic French bread. I like cooking, I just don't do it enough to constitute that I am any good.
I bought Paul a nice little card (It's a Snoopy one too which is funny cause I totally forgot that Snoopy is a Beagle... I just thought it was a cute picture of him & Charlie Brown) and I also made him some Chocolate Covered Strawberries. The last time I had made this for anyone, they turned out like little shit balls and I am not sure if that person even ate them. Eh, fuck it. The ones I made today look so nice & almost professional like. I put them into 2 candy boxes & decorated the outside with corny heart stickers. I like how the turned out & I hope that he will like them when he opens the fridge in the morning. I am a very lucky girl to have a boy like him in my life. That is the moral of this rant... Bryan Adams said it best: "Everything I do, I do it for you." <3>I had another interview today during my lunch break. It was for another Chiropractic office in the Midtown/ Downtown area. I know the Doctor too (Dr. Darrick had to borrow some HICFA billing forms to do a mass billing & called this Dr. to borrow some of those forms). I hope I am a shoe in for the job. I just hope that if I did get this one, that it won't be as stressful as I am currently. But, only time will tell on this one. I have a lot of experience, too. The other place I went to on Monday (it was a financial planning company), the lady who interviewed me said that she wanted to see me again (which was the most promising thing that I have heard in a long time. She said that she would call me back some time this week to meet again, but so far, I have not heard from her. At this point, I am keeping my fingers crossed and I know that life can't get worse from here... It can only get better :)

Little Beagle, don't fail me now...
Ever since Paul & I talked about the possibility of getting a dog one day, I have been smitten with anything that has to do with hounds, the Beagles to be exact. That is the dog that we will (eventually) bring into our small furry family (I bet Poppy & Beasley will be all too thrilled about that). We have a name picked out for him (since the name we picked is totally for a boy, Steagle Colbeagle, don't steal our name, it would kill me) & at this point, it is only a matter of when (we, number one, need a house with a big enough yard for him to play in and I want a pure breed which means I need to shell out big $$ for that kinda thing, which I am totally willing to do).
I have been watching the 2008 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on USA all night. As it turns out, my little beagle won Best Hound group. He moved on to the Best In Show round, but he has some stiff and tough competition. Apparently, a Beagle has not won Best In Show ever in the 132 years of the show and the Beagle has not won the best Hound group since the 1930's either. Anyways, I am sitting here as the judge looks at the Toy group, the Sporting group, etc. I am crossing my fingers for him. The beagle they picked is to die for! (oh, and his name is "Uno", 10 bonus points for cuteness!)

[edit]
Uno the Beagle won best in show!!! Congrats, little beagle, I knew you would make me proud :) Isn't he the cutest little thing ever?

Second Saturday, oh how you disapoint me...
So, Lisa Lampanelli is on Comedy Centeral right now. I think she is my new favorite comedian in the world. I remember seeing her on the Roast of William Statner a few years back & also for the Roast of Flavor Flav last year too. ::sigh:: I simply love the fact that she is rude & offensive all at the same time. She is one of the many things in the world that makes my heart smile. I think I am gonna have to watch the rest of her stand up. ::end happy moment::
Ugh, we (Paul & myself) went to Second Saturday today in Midtown. I have lived in Sacramento for over 14 years, I have always wanted to go to see what all the hub-bub was about. We started at this photography shop near Sac State. It was actually pretty awesome. There were actual photos taken with Lomograhpy Cameras. I told Paul that seeing those photos on display made my whole day. We then decided to head back towards Midtown to see the other galleries in the area (mostly off of J & K Streets and between 19th & 22nd Streets). We made our trek by foot, there were so many people walking out & about that I felt like I was in San Francisco... But then I remembered that San Francisco is a much cooler & wonderful place then Sacramento will ever be.
All the galleries were packed with too many people, I almost wanted to pull a fire alarm so I could see how much of a danger these people were putting themselvs in. I was disappointed by the kinds of art being displayed... I almost wish that I had pictures on display because I know my art is so much better & I am an amateur too! Maybe one day I will get the balls to do it. I kept having moments of claustrophobia, there were a lot of people bumping in to me & making me fell real uncomfortable and scared. I did see some awesome paintings of skulls & I also saw this cool photo of John Kerry back in the 1980's (I so wish that he was our current president ::boo::).
Anways, I bought something at this Mexican gallery that was on 22nd & K street, it's this bingo game in Spanish. I remember playing this game at my Grandparents house when I was a kid (I think it was the first way I got to learn Spanish), & Paul remembers playing it with his Grandmother too. It was the best $3 that I spent all day.
We went to a new sushi place near out apartment. Its called Arigato Sushi... Not only was it yummy but the rolls were 50% off. We spent $31 (plus tip) when we would have spent $50+ at Mikuni's or Taro's. I think we are gonna go there again for lunch tomorrow for Round 2!
Time for bed. A day of cleaning a waits me in the morning. (joy)
