Score!

Dear Slumdog Millionaire,

Congrats on winning all 4 of the Golden Globe nominations (especially the Best Picture one). No one else deserved it more.

OMFG...

So,

There is a homeless lady who has been outside our apartment (on the sidewalk bus stop bench) since Noon this afternoon... Spouting off religious gibberish... I think she said something about Hitler too while Paul and I moved more boxes to my car to move to St. George... I think we are going to call the cops again...

A stairway to heaven...

Texas is awesome... Those Longhorns band members played 2 Led Zepplin songs: one was Stairway To Heaven.

I love the BCS.

Team India.

Things that I hate:

Stupid dancing shows.

I think I am and have growing up a bit and have not been watching so many stupid reality shows. I will admit that I do like my usual VH-1 shows (Rock of Love has a soft spot in my heart still) and The Soup on E!, but I decided to watch the new dance show on NBC (something about the worlds best dancers with the host being that Lord of the Dance guy... Which, on a side note, I saw him in Las Vegas back in 2003 with Patrick and it was pretty bad ass.) which happened to be on TV after the SNL Sports Extra. Now, I usually like dance shows, not so much the Dancing With the Stars show (only because I am not a big fan of those the show picked to be on as a contestant and the ones that I do like end up being kicked off the show in the first few episodes) but I like to see what people can do and what they can push their bodies limits to do. So there are about 8 country teams that are competing in 2 types of dance competitions. One is a group dance and the other is a solo dance. I only want team India to win only because of my love for Bollywood dancing.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner..

So, before the Rose Bowl, Paul and I made a "gentleman's bet" on what the score will be for the game between USC and Penn State... I wrote it down just to be sure. Remember, Paul is a fan of sports and knows stats... Me, I know nothing and my picks in most sports (like the brackets we do for March Madness) is biased on which mascot I think is better then the others (I thought a Trojan warrior would totally wail on a stupid 'Nittany Lion'), or which team has players that I actually know (That Mark Sanchez guy that is the quarterback for USC) or team colors (I actually like Penn States blue and white more then the Trojans red and yellow, but my Godmother/ Aunt is a USC alumni and Los Angeles is my hometown)... Is my 'system' shallow, yes. But it works for me.

2pm:

And here is what the score was at about 5:30pm:

Where is Vegas when I need it! Ugh.

He's just a poor boy from a poor family... Spare him his life from this monstrosity///

So, Paul and I are watching the Rose Bowl on TV (Paul's parents got tickets to see the game and are sitting in near the Penn State end zone, lucky!) and it is currently half time. Between the commercials for the playing college teams schools (those commercials that are pretty much saying "send your kids to USC or Penn State"), the schools marching bands were playing in the field. The USC band played some random songs that I could not figure out what they were BUT Penn State played 2 songs by Queen. One was Bohemian Rhapsody and the other was Bicycle Race. This is great.

[edit:]
They (I don't know which band it was) played a White Stripes song too (7 Nation Army). Interesting.

[edit]
They (again, I am not sure what band) played a song by The Offspring... Snaps, now we hear the theme from Rocky... WTF. That's gotta be from Penn State.

Hello, 2009.
