So here we are... Again///

Song of the day: Bloc Party> So Here We Are

I caught a glimpse, but its been forgotten. So here we are again.

I made a vow, to carry you home.

I really tried to do what you wanted. It all went wrong again.

I made a vow, to carry you home.

If you fall sick, if you pass out.

I figured it out, I can see again.

Are you coming? Are you going? Are you leaving? Are you staying?///

Song of the day: MIA> Jimmy

The irony... And I only say that because I went there with Paul this morning for a white mocha... It's been too long.

We visited the Blue Light Gallery in Roseville (mainly because its part of my Arth 300 final project for the semester) and saw The Art of Dr. Seuss exhibit. I have seen his work in San Francisco a few years ago with Paul. It was nice to see these wonderful pieces of work again. I love the "Star Belly Friends" but I also loved the "SawFish" sculpture.

And I wonder if I ever felt this before///

Song of the day: Mute Math> Noticed

So, I thought I would post a few more photos of what is going on in "Saint George." Everyday, I try to thing of things that I can do to make this small home reflect Paul and myself. I sometimes wonder if I am too optimistic in my ambitions?!

This happens to be my side of the bed. Not a lot going on but its only because I have another room to make my own. I have assorted post cards, books, mp3 player, piggy bank there.

On the top of my "end table": my 2 favorite stuffed animals; Snoopy & my old teddy bear Gloria... Tulips that Paul bought me for Valentines day (in red and pinks)... A cat jar that holds my jewelry... A glass vase of M&M's... Bottled water and the latest 'Twilight' book that I just started.

And because I am a true Art History Nerd, my small collection of art books. Letters from Van Gogh, Bohemian artist, Frida Khalo, 20 or so great artist mini bios, and the handy art book. One day, I will have a huge book shelf of art books... Mostly modern art tho. On the top, is a figuring of Frida and next the The Art Book is a beckoning cat.

You will not reach me... I am resenting a position that is past resentment///

Song of the day: Interpol> PDA

So, I thought I would add some photos of the progress I have been making in our second bedroom, aka: my room (cause I have lots of crafting crap)

All along the walls surrounding the door that leads into the hallway. I love album frames. I wish I had more awesome albums to frame. On the left, Bruce Springsteen "Born in the USA", Michael Jackson "Thriller" & Peter Frampton "Frampton Comes Alive". Over the door is a poster from The Beastie Boys album "To the 5 Boroughs". On the right, Death From Above 1979 "You're a Woman, I'm a Machine" and "Romantic Rights EP".

My collection of becconing cats and some books/ journals. I wish I had more room for more.

My work station from afar. Not much going on so far.

A blury close up view of my work area... Compleat with new tulips to make my area nicer.

Cabin number 4 ain't gonna smile no more///

Song of the day: The Raveonettes> Attack of the Ghost Rider

So, I totally forgot that my blog turned one year yesterday. I keep forgetting that. I feel like I have been here for longer then that. Here is to another year of bitching and adventures to come.

But I have some decorating to do in my crafting room!

You'll pray for proof, I'm probably making this up... It's true, I'm probably making this up///

Song of the day: We Are Scientist> Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt

My goodness... It is only going to be Wednesday>!?!

I’ll never let you go If you promise not to fade away///

Song of the day: Muse> Starlight

So, what is going on in the world of me?

-School is in full swing. Almost regret taking 2 Art History classes at the same time (only because of the teachers contradicting each other).

-Settling nicely in to 'St. George'. Constantly thinking of new things to decorate and unpack (still). Beasley and Poppy have gotten use to the new home. Finding new hiding places... New sunbathing spots... Running around on hardwood flooring... Poppy exploring the backyard with me.

-Realized that Paul and I are not home as much as we once were... Working full time and going to school full time (part time for me) is not fun. But, Paul has one more full year of school and will hopefully be a graduate of the University of California, Sacramento by Winter 2010.

-Jetta (my dog that lives at my parents house) is blind now. It kills me inside knowing that. She is going to be 13 years old this Halloween. She has lived a long life and I love her more then any other dog I have had. Mom says that she is doing well and knows that she is blind. She keeps bumping into things (like the walls and the couches and people's legs). Life is strange...

and most importantly...
-My Grandmother is dying. I can't even think of the thought of her leaving this world. My last grandparent. I think the moment when I knew that she really isn't doing well (and approaching the end of her life) was when my Mom asked me for my social security number and telling me that my brothers (and myself included) and other cousins are beneficiaries for her estate. *sigh* Not good. Seriously. Everyday is another battle... All I can do is hope for the best and pray (which being an Atheist, will be quite hard) that my Grandma will be alright. Oh yeah, her 77th birthday is in 2 weeks... My Grandpa (who died when I was 12 in 1997) would have been 75 on this coming Thursday... Jeebus.
