Second Saturday, oh how you disapoint me...

So, Lisa Lampanelli is on Comedy Centeral right now. I think she is my new favorite comedian in the world. I remember seeing her on the Roast of William Statner a few years back & also for the Roast of Flavor Flav last year too. ::sigh:: I simply love the fact that she is rude & offensive all at the same time. She is one of the many things in the world that makes my heart smile. I think I am gonna have to watch the rest of her stand up. ::end happy moment::

Ugh, we (Paul & myself) went to Second Saturday today in Midtown. I have lived in Sacramento for over 14 years, I have always wanted to go to see what all the hub-bub was about. We started at this photography shop near Sac State. It was actually pretty awesome. There were actual photos taken with
Lomograhpy Cameras. I told Paul that seeing those photos on display made my whole day. We then decided to head back towards Midtown to see the other galleries in the area (mostly off of J & K Streets and between 19th & 22nd Streets). We made our trek by foot, there were so many people walking out & about that I felt like I was in San Francisco... But then I remembered that San Francisco is a much cooler & wonderful place then Sacramento will ever be.

All the galleries were packed with too many people, I almost wanted to pull a fire alarm so I could see how much of a danger these people were putting themselvs in. I was disappointed by the kinds of art being displayed... I almost wish that I had pictures on display because I know my art is so much better & I am an amateur
too! Maybe one day I will get the balls to do it. I kept having moments of claustrophobia, there were a lot of people bumping in to me & making me fell real uncomfortable and scared. I did see some awesome paintings of skulls & I also saw this cool photo of John Kerry back in the 1980's (I so wish that he was our current president ::boo::).

Anways, I bought something at this Mexican gallery that was on 22nd & K street, it's this bingo game in Spanish. I remember playing this game at my Grandparents house when I was a kid (I think it was the first way I got to learn Spanish), & Paul remembers playing it with his Grandmother too. It was the best $3 that I spent all day.

We went to a new sushi place near out apartment. Its called Arigato Sushi... Not only was it yummy but the rolls were 50% off. We spent $31 (plus tip) when we would have spent $50+ at Mikuni's or Taro's. I think we are gonna go there again for lunch tomorrow for Round 2!

Time for bed. A day of cleaning a waits me in the morning. (joy)

-m!
